Clonakilty Single Malt Irish Whiskey is the single malt expression from Clonakilty Distillery in West Cork, a family-run distillery on Ireland's southwestern coast where the Scully family grows heritage barley and matures its whiskey in a warehouse facing the Atlantic. It is bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) for a fuller texture. The nose is honey, ripe fruit and subtle florals. On the palate, velvety caramel and orchard fruit meet a touch of oak, and the finish is smooth and gently warming with a faint coastal freshness. It is an elegant, uncomplicated single malt best served neat or with a drop of water. This 750ml bottle is a solid choice for anyone who likes Irish single malt in a lighter, fruit-forward style.
