Ohishi Sherry Cask Japanese Whisky｜ Other Products

Ohishi Sherry Cask Japanese Whisky is the flagship of Ohishi Distillery in Kumamoto Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, where whisky is made from rice fermented with koji and distilled in the regional tradition, using the distillery's own gohyakumanishi rice and Kuma River water. It is matured in sherry casks and bottled at 40.7% ABV.The nose is rich with dried fruit, dark chocolate and a hint of smokiness. The palate is smooth and velvety with caramelized sugar, toasted oak and raisin, and the finish is long and warming with a touch of sweetness. The silky rice spirit gives it a texture unlike any barley whisky. Enjoy it neat or with a splash of water. This 750ml bottle is the best-value introduction to Ohishi and to Japanese rice whisky.
