To ensure an increased commitment at all levels in the organisation, by encouraging employees to participate actively in the Company’s CSR initiatives and give back to the society in an organised manner through the employee volunteering programme called ESOPs (Employee Social Option Programs).
As part of the Mahindra Group, social responsibility is in our DNA. Our CSR programmes are therefore structured in a way that promotes educational and other opportunities so that communities become self-sufficient in the long run.
For us, community development is not about ‘check-book philanthropy’ but a long-term strategy of creating an environment for the sustainable growth of communities. We also encourage our employees to become willing participants in community development. The focus of our social interventions covers the following aspects: building communities, skill development, disaster relief and rehabilitation and environmental sustainability.
Moreover, we have continuously aligned our programme with government initiatives such as Covid-19 Disaster Management, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Sarva Sikshan Abhiyan, Jan Dhan Yojana and others.
The commitment of our employees plays a dominant role in the success of all our programmes, which are designed and driven by the active involvement of our employees under Employee Social Options (ESOPs), the volunteering movement at Mahindra Group. We also collaborate with NGOs, which have special expertise in certain sectors.
All interventions are designed based on the outcomes of need assessments and they are rigorously monitored to ensure positive outcomes and sustained impact.
