Other Products ｜Afrobeat Makers: Tony Allen Rhythms Revisited LP

Original Afrobeat patterns from legendary drummer Tony Allen reworked by the Afrobeat Makers Crew! On Tony Allen Rhythms Revisited Miguel Toro, Gyver Hypman, and Augusto (aka the Afrobeat Makers) offer a contemporary twist on 12 classic afro-rhythms. Along with Fela Kuti, Tony Allen helped define afrobeat, and this modern re-imagining combines the funk, jazz, highlife, and traditional Nigerian drumming of the past with punchy, modern drum kits and fuzzy guitars and synths to work equally well in the headphones or on the big system. Check "Bag Of Breaks," "African Heat," "Mister Cool T," "Deeper," and "Afrobeat Jam" for a taste. 12 tracks in all, import pressing.
