"Suave House Records, in collaboration with Coalmine Reissues, proudly presents the first ever vinyl reissue of On Top of the World by Eightball & MJG, celebrating the album’s 30th anniversary. This groundbreaking 1995 release, a cornerstone of Southern hip-hop, not only cemented the duo’s status as Memphis legends but also propelled them onto the national stage, highlighting their exceptional talent and unique sound. At a time when the East and West Coasts dominated the rap scene, On Top of the World brought the Third Coast into the conversation with its masterful storytelling, slick production, and unparalleled chemistry between 8Ball and MJG. Key singles like 'Space Age Pimpin' were instrumental in this breakout, 'Pimp in My Own Rhyme' underscored the duo’s lyrical prowess and contributed to the album’s widespread acclaim. On Top of the World remains a hallmark of 1990s hip-hop—a testament to Eightball & MJG’s ability to carve out their own lane. This reissue is a must-have for fans, celebrating a record that propelled Southern rap to new heights and cemented its rightful place in hip-hop history." - Suave House
